At Shirehampton Primary School, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to enjoy being active, develop physical confidence and experience a wide range of sports and activities.

Government funding helps us to enhance the quality of physical education, increase participation in sport and physical activity, and promote healthy, active lifestyles for all pupils.

How We Use Our Funding

Our funding supports us to:

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons for all pupils.
• Develop staff knowledge and confidence in teaching PE.
• Increase opportunities for physical activity throughout the school day.
• Provide a wide range of sporting experiences and competitions.
• Promote children's physical and mental wellbeing.
